Indian Premier League (IPL) Mini Auction held at Kochi on 23rd December 2022. Most records broke today in this mini auction. The record for most expensive signing in the IPL history were broken into pieces one after the other. Ben Stokes,Sam Curran , Cameron Green were brought at Whopping prize by IPL Franchises.

Sam Curran : 18.50 Crore
Sam Curran became most expensive expensive player ever in the history of Indian Premier League History. Punjab Kings bought Sam Curran in Auction 2023.
Sam Curran was player of the Tournament in recently concluded T20 World Cup held in Australia and was also player of the match in T20 World Cup Finals against Pakistan. Sam Curran was in demand coming into this auction as most team wanted Sam Curran in their team. Many team went after Sam Curran,but finally Punjab Kings bought him at Whopping INR 18.5 Crore breaking previous record of INR 16.25 Crore by Chris Morris.
Cameron Green : 17.50 Crore
Cameron Green also broke Chris Morris record and became 2nd most expensive player in the history of Indian Premier League. Mumbai Indian bought Cameron Green for INR 17. 50 Crore,when MI failed take to take Sam Curran.
Royal Challengers and Delhi Capitals also went after Cameron Green but Mumbai Indian won the battle.
Cameron Green played a matches and score 2 Half Centuries at the strike rate of 173 ,both half centuries came against India when he debuted back in April 2022.
Ben Stokes: 16.25 Crore
Ben Stokes became 3rd most expensive player with Chris Morris when Chennai Super Kings Signed him for 16.25 Cr.
Ben Stokes played important knock of 52 runs in Finals of T20 World Cup under pressure and helped them to win T20 World Cup 2022. He also picked 7 wickets in T20 World Cup 2022.
Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants went for Ben Stokes but stopped bidding after 7cr as they didn't had much purse left.Eventually Chennai Super Kings got Ben Stokes at INR 16.25 Cr as CSK after they lost the battle of bid for Sam Curran.
Nicholas Pooran: 16 Crore
Nicholas Pooran became most expensive Wicket Keeper Batsman in the History of IPL when Lucknow Super Giants bought him for INR 16 Crore.
In IPL 2022 , Nicholas Pooran was part of Sunrisers Hyderabad when they picked him at INR 10.75 cr in Mega Auction. But Nicholas Pooran has had very average tournament scoring only 300 runs in 14 matches for SRH. Thus SRH released them before IPL 2023 Mini Auction.
Pooran also had very ordinary performance for West Indies in T20 World Cup 2022 but still many team went all for him, finally sold for LSG at Whopping INR 16cr.
Harry Brook: 13.25 Crore
Young Harry Brook had breakthrough year as he was Player of Series in 7 Match T20 Series between Pakistan and England as he had scored 238 runs and helped them to win series 4-3 at 163 strike rate.
Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad did aggressive bidding and SRH secured Harry Brook for INR 13.25cr.
Harry Brook had good technique against spinner which favoured him in selection in IPL Auction 2023. Brook has scored 3 Centuries against Pakistan in Test Series and helped England to win 3-0.
Mayank Agarwal became most expensive Indian player in IPL Auction 2023 as Sunrisers Hyderabad bought him at INR 8.25 Crores.
