Gujarat Titans(GT) are the defending Champion of IPL 2023,they will be keen to defend this title. The Biggest Strength of Gujarat Titans in IPL 2023,is that they have immense confidence in themselves and last year everyone performed to their potential to win the title when everyone had written them off.
Gujarat Titans have a good core of Indian batsman in the form of Captain Hardik Pandya,Shubham Gill, Rahul Tewatia,Vijay Shankar,Abhinav Manohar.
Shubman Gill is in Red Hot form in last 6-7 months and they have bought Kane Williamson in IPL auction,both can open the inning for GT.

When Gujarat Titans had announced Hardik Pandya as a Captain,everyone questioned about his ability to lead a team in IPL. But he answered his critics in style with brilliant and sharp leadership skills. He lead GT from the front by performing with both bat and ball. IPL 2023 will not be any different for Hardik Pandya as GT be again dependent on him to defend the title and can join the elusive list of Captains MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma to defend IPL title.

Weakness of Gujarat Titans in IPL 2023
One of the biggest Weakness of Gujarat Titans is they don't have good Indian wicketkeeper batsman. They have Wriddhiman Shah but he has passed his prime and lack of form will hurt GT to get good start. They also have Mathews Wade but it will be difficult to get him in playing XI as only 4 foreign players can play.
GT have to solve the problem of opening combination. Wriddhiman Shah opened with Shubham Gill in last season and made some handly contribution,but they need a good permanent solution. Kane Williamson can open with Gill,again this will affect their team combination. Hardik Pandya and David Miller form can also be concerning,GT need them to repeat IPL 2022 performance from these two players.
Gujarat Titans don't have back up option bowling option for Mohammed Shami and Rashid Khan. They don't have quality spinner to support Rashid Khan,if by chance Rashid Khan miss any match due to any injury then Rahul Tewatia and Sai Kishore have to share load of spin bowling. Gujarat Titans released Lockie Ferguson ahead of the auction,he played important overs in middle overs for GT last year's. Shami and Alzarri Joseph have to lead the pace attack now along with youngster Shivam Mavi. Gujarat Titans also have to solve the problem of number 3, as they tried many players last season. They have a option of playing Kane Williamson at no 3,if Shubham Gill and Wriddhiman Shah open the inning for GT.
Threats
The biggest threat which Gujarat Titans can face is the fitness issue of Captain Hardik Pandya. Over the last few years he has been struggling from many injuries,even though he is been fit now and playing ODIs and T20I's for Indian team,but to play full season of IPL can have toll on body and as World Cup 2023 will be played later this year,BCCI can ask team management to manage his work load.

Gujarat Titans also have very fragile lower middle order which consists of David Miller,Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan and Oden Smith,if they perform to their potential like last year then it will great,if not then GT will be in big trouble as they don't have backup option of these players. Shami can be sometime hot and cold as he had very ordinary T20 World Cup 2022.

Domestic Players such as Sai Sudarshan, Abhinav Manohar and Vijay Shankar will have brilliant opportunities to show case their talent. GT have to play one of these players in few matches in IPL 2023 and they will have a chance to grab with both hand.
Rahul Tewatia had good last few season in IPL ,he played few important knocks for GT in IPL 2022. If he play to his potential,then definitely he can get chance in Indian team.
